XP95 DIN-rail 4-channel I/O unit
The XP95 4-channel I/O unit is an interface equipped with 4 inputs and 4 outputs. This module is available in 2 versions, namely the XP95 4-channel I/O unit for DIN-rail mounting and the XP95 4-channel I/O unit mounted in a plastic housing.
The inputs of the XP95 4-channel I/O unit report the status of up to 4 potential-free NO or NC contacts to a MD2400 or MD2400L fire alarm control panel. Combining NO and NC contacts on one module is not possible.
The 4 inputs of the XP95 4-channel I/O unit are individually addressed. The number of connected contacts can be selected using a jumper setting. The number of connected contacts automatically determines the number of addresses reserved by the XP95 4-channel I/O unit. The address of the first input is set using a DIP-switch. The following inputs are automatically assigned to the chronologically following addresses.
The 4 outputs are provided in the form of an open collector on a 16-pin flat cable connector. Each open collector output can control a 24Vdc relay. The activation of the outputs is independant of the status of the 4 inputs. This module can be used in combination with a relay card with 4 relays.
The XP95 4-channel I/O unit requires a 4-wire cabling, 2 wires for the 24Vdc constant supply voltage and 2 wires for the XP95 detection loop. The cabling between the input of the XP95 4-channel I/O unit and the contact to be supervised is cheched for short circuits and open circuits using EOL resistors.
