XP95 DIN-rail sounder controller 5A
The XP95 sounder controller 5A is used to monitor the operation of an external sounder circuit from an XP95 loop and to report its status to the MD2400 or MD2400L fire alarm control panel.
The cabling between the XP95 sounder controller and the sounder circuit is monitored for short circuits and open circuits using a EOL resistor at the last sounder. The MD2400 or MD2400L fire alarm control panel will generate a fault message as soon as an open line or short-circuit on the sounder circuit is detected.
The XP95 sounder controller 5A requires a 4-wire cabling, two wires for the 24Vdc power supply and two wires for the XP95 loop. The module is equipped with an input to report the status of an external power supply to the MD2400 or MD2400L fire alarm control panel.
The address is set using a DIP-switch. The current consumption per MD2400 loop interface card XP95 is limited to maximum 100mA and per MD2400 high-power loop interface card XP95 to maximum 500mA.
