XP95 isolating base
The XP95 isolating base is included in the BOSEC B-9072-FD-954 EN54-13 certificate of the MD2400(L) analogue addressable fire detection system.
The XP95 isolating base monitors the loop for short circuits and isolates the part of the loop in which a short circuit occurs. If a short circuit occurs between two short-circuit isolators, that part of the loop is disconnected. This interruption is reported as a line fault on the MD2400 or MD2400L fire alarm control panel, so that the supply voltage is applied to the loop via the departure as well as via the return. In this way, the rest of the loop remains in operation.
As soon as the condition of the short circuit is removed, the disconnection of the loop is automatically stopped.
