Intelligent Input/Output unit
The intelligent Input/output unit is included in the BOSEC B-9072-FD-954 - EN54-13 certificate of the MD2400(L) analogue addressable fire detection system.
The intelligent Input/Output unit is equipped with a relay contact 30Vdc/1A (inductive or resistive) and a built-in short-circuit isolator. The address is set using a DIP-switch.
The input of the intelligent Input/Output unit reports the status of a potential-free NO alarm contact and/or a NC fault contact to the MD2400(L) fire alarm control panel. As soon as the contact is switched, the MD2400(L) fire alarm control panel will generate the corresponding alarm and/or fault message.
The cabling between the intelligent Input/Output unit and the contact is monitored for short circuits and open circuits using a EOL resistor at the contact.
The intelligent Input/Output unit is powered via the XP95 loop and does not require an external power supply.
The current consumption per MD2400 loop interface card XP95 is limited to maximum 100mA and per MD2400 high-power loop interface card XP95 to maximum 500mA.
