MD2400 redundant operator console

The MD2400 operator console is included in the BOSEC B-9072-FD-964 EN54-13 cerificate of the MD2400 & MD2400L fire detection system.

The MD2400 operator console is integrated in a plastic housing and is equipped with all the necessary components for displaying the various alarm and fault messages, for requesting data and performing basic functions and for setting some system parameters.

The MD2400 operator console is equipped as standard with an LCD (4x40 characters), a number of visual indications (Fire alarm, Fault and Disabled for 8 groups), a number of membrane control buttons ("Silence", "Test LED", "System reset", "Evacuation Delayed" and scroll buttons), a built-in buzzer for the auditory signal, a key switch for setting the 2 access levels and a key switch for evacuation.

The communication between the MD2400 or MD2400L fire alarm control panel and the MD2400 operator console is done by means of an RS485 I/O data bus.

The MD2400 operator console is available in 2 versions, namely the redundant operator console to be provided at the main entrance(s) of the building an/or at the entrance(s) used by the emergency services and the non-redundant operator console for the visualization and the control form another location in the building.

Up to 8 MD2400 operator consoles can be connected to a MD2400 or MD2400L fire alarm control panel. Attention, when connecting additional MD2400 operator consoles to a MD2400L fire alarm control panel, the capacity of the power supply of the MD2400L control panel must be taken into account !

The MD2400 operator consoles are addressed binary by means of a DIP switch.
