MD2400/16E - Analogue addressable fire alarm control panel
The MD2400, analogue addressable fire detection and fire warning system for buildings, has been designed in accordance with European Standards EN54-2:1997/A1:2006 and EN54-4:1997/A1:2002/A2:2006 and is BOSEC B-9072-FD-954 EN54-13 certified.
The MD2400 fire alarm control panel has a maximum capacity of 16 loops. By means of the MD2400 Token-ring network, up to 32 MD2400 or MD2400L control panels can be network connected.
The MD2400 fire alarm control panel is decentralized and consists of at least one MD2400 redundant operator console, which is connected to the central processing unit (black-box) by means of an RS485 I/O bus. The central processing unit is mounted in a steel plate housing with a closed door and includes the main processor board, the relay card with 16 relays and the basic power supply of the system. The MD2400 control panel is standard equipped with a multiplex card to connect the redundant cabling of the MD2400 operator consoles and/or repeater panels.
To connect the XP95 detection loops, the required MD2400 loop interface cards, MD2400 high-power loop interface cards and/or MD2400 loop interface cards 10 scans for flame detectors must be provided in the MD2400 modular fire alarm control panel.
By means of the RS485 I/O bus, the MD2400 control panel can be extended with additional MD2400 operator consoles, repeater panels, printers and relay cards. The RS485 I/O bus also offers the possibility to connect a MD2400 SIA modem interface and a MD2400 interface ESPA 4.4.4 protocol.
The programming of the MD2400 fire alarm control panel is done by means of a configuration software for PC.
The MD2400/16E fire alarm control panel has a capacity of 16 loops. A maximum of 126 addressable devices can be connected to each loop. Communication with the connected fire detectors is based on the digital Apollo XP95 protocol.
The MD2400/16E fire alarm control panel is mounted as standard in a 1200x800x300mm steel plate housing. This housing offers space for two back-up batteries with a maximum capacity of 12V 65Ah.
The MD2400/16E control panel is equipped with 16 relays, of which 1 monitored outputs, 1 Fail-safe relay for "Common fault", 1 relay for "Fault power supply" and 12 programmable relays with voltage-free changeover contact.
