New MD2400 LCD operator console / repeater panel with capacitive touch screen
From 1 March 2024, the new MD2400 LCD operator console/repeater panel with capacitive touch screen will be available for use with the C.I.E. MD2400 with a Generation 3 main processor board.
The new MD2400 LCD operator console/repeater panel with capacitive touch screen will in time replace the existing MD2400/MD2400L operator console with display 4x40 characters on the BOSEC EN54-13 certificate.
The new MD2400 LCD operator console/repeater panel with capacitive touch screen is only compatible with a C.I.E. MD2400 – Generation 3 and is equipped with a 7” capacitive colour touch screen as standard.
A maximum of 16 MD2400 LCD operator console/repeater panel with capacitive touch screen can be connected to a C.I.E. MD2400.
The MD2400 LCD operator console/repeater panel with capacitive touch screen can be connected either redundantly or non-redundantly, and can be configured via the configuration software as an operator console with the full functionality of the system or as a repeater panel with limited operation capabilities.
The new MD2400 LCD operator console/repeater panel with capacitive touch screen is NOT compatible with C.I.E. MD2400L!

Existing MD2400/MD2400L operator console with 4x10 characters
The MD2400/MD2400L operator console in its current version (articles 241100NF and 241102NF) remains available for use with a C.I.E. MD2400 and a C.I.E. MD2400L equipped with a main processor card of the 1st (Rabbit2000) and 2nd generation (Rabbit4000).
The existing MD2400/2400L operator console with display 4x40 characters is compatible with a C.I.E. MD2400 – Generation 3.
This means that a hybrid application of the new MD2400 LCD operator console/repeater panel with capacitive touch screen with an existing MD2400/MD2400L operator console with display 4x40 characters on a C.I.E. MD2400 – Generation 3 is possible.
