Target group

This training module is intended for technicians who hold the “MD2400/MD2400L – Initial Training” certificate AND have sufficient practical experience in commissioning a standard MD2400 or MD2400L fire detection system.

Prior knowledge

The MD2400/MD2400L initial training course.

Purpose of training

Adjusting according to the specific requirements of a project the default settings of the MD2400 or MD2400L datafile.

To support the predetermined objective, the training contains various practical exercises.

On the day of the training, the trainee is in possession of a computer with the MD2400/MD2400L configuration software, an active licence and the necessary accessories for connecting to the C.I.E. MD2400/MD2400L. No software will be installed and/or licence files created on the day of training.

Agenda

  • Practical exercise: tracing and solving cabling & addressing faults on a test panel.
  • Recap of the basic functions of the MD2400/MD2400L configuration software
  • Review of the default controls​
  • Practical exercise for commissioning a standard MD2400/MD2400L fire detection system
  • Detailed explanation of the parameters below:
    Actions / Loop / Group / General / Detection level / Detector
  • Customised programming of the controls combined with various practical exercises

Evaluation & Training certificate


At the end of this training course, the knowledge acquired will be evaluated by means of a practical test. Trainees achieving a score of at least 60% will receive the certificate “MD2400/MD2400L – Customised Programming” a few days after the training.
